HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2009

1. News from our cafeteria: Today, instead of pasta, the cafeteria will be serving turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, dinner roll, jello cake, fruit and milk.

2. Reminder to all students to bring in nonperishable food items to your first period class. The class with the most food wins breakfast next Tuesday. Thank you from NHS!

3. Huron Library News: Glass Painting for Teens (grades 7-12), Saturday, November 21, 11 AM- 1 PM. Learn new tricks and tips for HPL staff member Bev Johnson. Those who attend need to bring a small glass item to decorate. Paint and brushes will be supplied. Registration extended to Thursday, November 19. Call (419)433-5009 or email huron@huronlibrary.org to register.

4. Food for Fines week at the Huron Public Library November 16-21. Bring in an overdue item along with a nonperishable food item, and we will waive the fine for that item. Food for Fines does not apply to previous fines. Donations will be distributed by the Huron Food Pantry.

5. ATTENTION all students! Did you know last year you all brought in almost 300 coats that were given to children and families from Huron? If you have a new or gently warn coat you would like to donate, please bring it in to Mrs. VanBargs room or  the main office before Dec 1st. We are accepting coats of all sizes and hats and mittens. Help us keep Huron warm during the holidays... donate your old coats!

6. The library is closed today.

7. All PSEO students are reminded to let Mrs. Henning know what classes you are taking Spring semester once you are able to register for them.

8. Ski Club registration forms and payment are due this Friday, November 20. These can be given to May Parell or mailed to Mrs. Julie Parell, 1028 Main St. in Huron. For any questions, please call 433-2107.

9. The Black Tiger Basketball t-shirts being sold at lunch are almost gone. The cost is $10. You better hurry and get yours soon before they are all sold out. Most sizes are still available. Get yours for the game today! Any questions see Coach Ray during the day.

10. There is a National Honor Society meeting Friday, November 20th, in the library. All members must attend. If you are unable to attend please leave an excuse slip in the box in Mrs. Henning's office.

11. There will be a French Club meeting after school today.
